Provides objective fiscal and budget analysis to support informed decision-making by Members and relevant Assembly Committees. Its mandate includes preparation and analysis of annual budgets and budgetary information; forecasting and monitoring expenditure; analysis of the CIDP against annual budgets; monitoring the budget cycle and compliance; recommending allocation of funds; analysis and monitoring of voted funds and grants; bill costing; budget research and analysis; monitoring financial resources; and assessing County Government policy options relating to resource mobilization, allocation and utilization.
